Each year, faculty, staff and retirees come together to support the OU Fund Drive (OUFD). The friendly giving competition kicks off with an event that features a Parade of OU Funds, which highlights the varied and unique programs on campus. The generosity of faculty, staff and retirees provides crucial funding to nearly every corner of the OU campus, including the creation of new endowment funds which serve as a lasting legacy of the donor’s generosity and commitment to philanthropy.
2023 OU Fund Drive Overview
The 2023 OU Fund Drive closed on December 8, 2023 with nearly $500,000 contributed from 969 individuals. Thank you, Oakland University faculty, staff and retirees! See the competition tab below to learn more about the most supported funds and the results of the participation challenge.
Save the date for the next OUFD - Mark your calendars for October 14 - December 12, 2024!
"I have witnessed first-hand the positive impact that the Student Emergency Fund has made for our students. It is a one-time assist to help bridge a financial gap that is a result of an unplanned expense or emergency. It could be as simple as unplanned car repairs in order to help get the student to campus to attend class. It could be to keep their internet active after they lose a job so they can complete their online courses. It is a small amount that makes a tremendous impact to help fill the gaps our students might experience. Everyone should consider a donation to this fund as it directly benefits students in need." -Lori Marsh, division business manager, Student Affairs & Diversity
